Anna Silk

Anna Silk, born January 31st, 1974 in Fredericton, New Brunswick Canada, is a Canadian actress most well-known for her role as Bo in the Showcase Series Lost Girl. Silk is an actress from Canada who was born in Fredericton New Brunswick. Ilkay is the director of drama and producer in St. Thomas University, is Silk's mom. Her father, Peter, was an academic. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna's early memories were of going to play rehearsals as well as watching her mother do the work. Silk appeared in several commercials while she was young. The year 1997 was the time she graduated with a bachelor's degree at St. Thomas University. The early stage work she did included two shows with Theatre St. Thomas: Seven Menus and The Kitchen. Silk was moved to Toronto, Canada in November of 1999, to keep acting. After that, she relocated into Los Angeles California during the following decade. Seth Cooperman is her future partner, which she discovered at the time of her meeting in Los Angeles at an Actors training. In 2009, they were wed in civil ceremonies in the month of December. They renewed their vows on the 10th of April in Fredericton at the tradition of a Jewish wedding ceremony, after Silk made the decision to convert to Judaism. Silk had a son Samuel Jerome Cooperman in May 2013. Levi Aaron, Silk's second baby boy was born in the month of May in 2016. Silk's television work is centered around the character Cassidy Holland in Being Erica in which she was awarded a Gemini Awards nomination in 2009. The Canadian series Lost Girl cast her as Bo Dennis, the lead character in the succubus. Silk became pregnant during filming of season three's finale and announced this to the viewers during Showcase's Season Three Pre-Show Special on the 6th of January, 2013. On June 4, 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures announced that production was beginning on the fourth season and on June 20 2013 Silk announced via Twitter that she was ready to return to work on the show. The CNN Cable News Network named her performance as Bo along with Lauren (Zoie Parker) in Lost Girl as same-sex couples one of their all-time favorite television Couples. E! named them the Top Television Couple for 2013. Entertainment Television. Silk has an enormous online fan base on Facebook and Twitter because of its success.
